The timeless imagery and the legends of Dartmoor inspire many of Beltane’s dances. In this 2 hour workshop we’ll share the behind-the-scenes process that we use to make new dances written as a side from old stories. With guidance and our fabulous band, we’ll teach you one of our dances and support you in the creation of a new one, told with true Beltane moodiness and guts! Please bring comfortable clothes to dance in (layers you can take off), footwear that is comfortable to dance in, liquid refreshment because you will need it and, if possible, a 2 foot stick (not a great long one) although there will be a limited number of sticks available. In the Consti Hall. It's an official Chippenham Folk Fest event and so there will be an entrance fee (not yet known by us) but it will be free to festival day and full weekend ticket holders. Check their website for further details which they will publish close to the event. You don't need to be a morris dancer and all are welcome....
